Washington is declining snowpack is starting to worry water managers. Statewide the snowpack is 74 percent of average and almost half of what it should be in the Spokane River
Lately around Spokane it’s been getting to look a lot like springtime, but if you head out of town there are still plenty of places to go this balmy January in search of winter fun.
The Spokane area is home to a master ski-tuner known as Cowboy Fred. When the snow starts falling, he keeps busy keeping you on the slopes.
In light of the weekend's gorgeous weather, one ski resort in Idaho reopened their slopes. Skiers and boarders at Silver Mountain enjoyed blue skies, temperatures in the mid 60's, and free skiing.
In the summer-time Jonah Pucci works for the Sandpoint Fire Department and pours concrete for his dad, but in the winter he follows in his dad's ski tracks.
