A Worley hunter says three of his hound dogs along with a friend's dog were killed by a pack of wolves last Thursday near Elk River, Idaho.
For as long as Hugh McKay can remember he's been hunting deer and elk. This season, the 76-year-old Idaho resident hopes to bag his first wolf when the season opens in the Panhandle on Thursday.
The first kill of the nation's first legal wolf hunt in decades has been reported in Lewiston, Idaho.
As of Friday afternoon nearly 10,000 wolf hunting tags have been sold in Idaho and now a group of people with the North Idaho Wolf Alliance want to make sure those tags are never used.
After much heated debate, Idaho is officially holding hunting season for wolves, and the first tags were given out to hunters on Monday.
